The Girl in Cabin 13 by A. J. Rivers was an ok but unrealistic read. I cannot imagine the FBI would send an unsupported agent to research a serial killer, especially one who recently messed up another undercover scheme. Overlooking this major flaw, Emma Griffin arrives at Feathered Nest only to have a man knock on her door and then die of gun wounds, one more death in the local disappearance and death that she is to investigate. Who can she trust? How can she get the locals to confide in her?
The plot is more like a Hallmark movie than a real mystery. I did not find Emma’s character enticing enough to read additional books in the series.
