Trailing the Hunter by Heidi Eljarbo continues the story of Clara Dahl (Catching a Witch). The story is standalone, yet I recommend reading them in order to fully appreciate Clara’s character and to understand how tenacious Angus Hill (the witch hunter) is in his pursuit of possible witches.
This story shows how easily a charlatan can persuade a town to turn against its citizens and friends. This witch hunter uses greed, ignorance, and fear to incite the local townspeople, create turmoil, and promote witch trials and burnings.
Though set in the 1600s, this story’s lessons are pertinent in modern times. I highly recommend this compelling read.
