Incandescence by Elena Leman, the first book in the Shadowlight book series, is a fantastic read. The world-building, character development, and steamy sex scenes make this a cannot-put-down book.

Orabella is a Crystellian, a cosmic wanderer in search of Crystals of Emotions which she exchanges for JOY. Upon arriving on Instaar, she assumes the body of a green water creature and befriends Smoku, her guide.

As she goes about exchanging her crystals, she meets Sambor, the future leader of the Lasota tribe and a tattooist. Even though Smoku reminds Orabella not to stay too long on this planet and not to exchange crystals too many times with the same person, Orabella does just that—and mishaps happen.

If you like romantic fantasy, grab Incandescence. It is sure to please.
