Moonlighting in Paris by Elle Klass is the second in the Baby Girl series. In this short book, Cleo takes on the identity of Justine Holmes and escapes to Paris. There a wealthy hotelier, Didier, falls in love with her. During their courtship, Justine realizes that she is being hunted by Einstein’s killer. Afraid of being revealed as a fraud, or worse, causing Didier’s death, she jilts him at the altar to take on a new identity. What will happen to her next?
To me, it seems as if Ms. Klass rushed to write this segment of the Baby Girl Series. The plot has holes and too convenient occurrences, the characters are underdeveloped, and the whole book needs editing. In spite of these drawbacks, I enjoyed the storyline and am curious to see what happens next to Cleo.
